Bottle shared at Ganz. Funky, vinious, a tad fruity, moderately sour with a complex acid profile, light to medium boided. Fun.

Oatmeal stout by a microbrewery in Brooklyn, New York - one I never heard of, so thanks Meeki for sharing the can! Medium thick, yellowish beige, slowly breaking head over a dark chocolate brown, almost black robe with copper red glow. Aroma of wet dark chocolate bars, dry caramel, autumn leaves, brown bread crust, nutmeg, bayleaf, vague clove, coffee grounds. Sweetish onset (dried prunes, medlar) with a slight umami edge, nothing sugary or sticky here so we are far from pastry territory; medium carb, rounded brown-bready, caramelly, toasty malts, only very lightly chocolatey yet smooth and creamy thanks to the oatmeal. Toasty bitterness in the end without becoming heavily coffee-roasted, aided by herbal hops; the dry-caramel-like effect lingers on and together with the bittering toastiness makes up the core of this altogether simple, straightforward but effective beer. The old days of oatmeal stout revisited - that makes me happy.

From tap at KCBC, New York. Big acidic sourness with an aroma of vinegar, loads of tart berries, red berries, blueberries, some oak. Pretty boldly sourness leaving a lingering acidic burn. Medium body. Could use a little more complexity, but really nice.

From tap at KCBC, New York. Big milk chocolate aroma with a rye whiskey barrel finish. Some notes of tobacco, mocha, coffee, light chocolate syrup. Sweet, nice roasty bitterness, a little alcohol but not too much. Full body. Nice! I like the balanced barrel influence here.

Can from Beer Karma, New York. Fruity and bitter with an aroma of citrus, pine, orange, bit juicy. Mild sweet, medium bitter. Body is medium. In between old and new school IPA, West Coast meets NEIPA? Anyway, it's good.
