On cask at the source. Slightly hazy auburn color with a frothy rocky white head that persists. The cedar adds a few shades of color and its very evident in a side by side viewing. Spicy peppery earthy resinous nose with very little malt evident. The cedar is front and center on the nose and flavor for me although others I socialized with didn’t find it as pungent. The flavor is earthy peppery spicy rye like with a faint herbal almost patchouli flavor. Faint sweet bready malt deep underneath. Its an interesting and well made beer, but something in my palette seems to fixate on the spiciness of the cedar and hides everything else in the beer for me.

Draft. A amber-brown color with one finger head and some lacing. Mild grainy aroma with caramel. Smelled like it was going to be too sweet, it wasn’t overly so. Grainy, caramel malts with a toasted/nutty presence. Decent level of sweetness/toasted grain balance. Light body. Subtle hop profile. Enjoyable.

Tap at the brewery. Dark brown bordering on black with a good sized long lasting mocha head. Big nutty nose with light roast and moderate chocolate. Creamy smooth mouthfeel, light carbonation. The vanilla seems to get hidden by the hazelnut, but I’m okay with that, Pretty damn tasty beer.

On tap at the source Brilliantly clear deep golden color with a small but long lasting bubbly white head, Big fruity notes on the nose when first poured. Light bready maltiness and plenty of Fruity juicy citrus and pine to counter. Great IPA!

On tap at the Brewery. Deep amber color with a huge frothy off white head that persists. Rich melanoid and pilsner maltiness with just enough floral and lightly spicy hops to keep this from cloying. Smooth refreshing easy to drink beer.

Cask at the brewery, got the next to last pint again. Slightly hazy light golden color with a good sized long lasting head, surprising for a cask beer! Spicy peppery citrus hops with plenty of peach aroma and flavor to go around. Lightly sweet spicy bready maltiness brings this together nicely. Another great rendition of this beer!

On tap at the source, I’m told I got the next to last pint last Friday. Hazy deep golden color with a small short lived white head. Spicy earthy pine resin with lots of sweet bread and grapefruit in spades. The grapefruit adds a nice fullness to the flavor that really works well. I can’t wait for the Peach version Friday.

Pours straw into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Sweet tropical fruit aromas. Soft with mango, pineapple and caramel upfront turning dry before the lasting bitter pith and caramel finish.
