Old rating from 07-06-16 - 355ml bottle, brought from Whole Foods in New York City on my recent trip. Poured back at home in Jersey, it's a clear amber colour with a very small white head. Aromas of citrus & caramel. Tastes of citrus, caramel, orange, biscuit & grass leading to a medium citrus bitterness finish.

Draft.
A- Dark mahogany color, dark liquid, minimal head.
A- Chocolate, fudge, cocktail cherries, port wine.
F- Fudge, whisky, mild coconut, faint wine, cherry.
T- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish.
O- Very nice! Smooth and complex flavors. The barrel only adds to the flavor not the booziness. Really great stuff. One of the best beers I've had of 2025.

On tap at Peders, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma has a very complex bourbon barrel character, moderate roast, and fermented out dark sugars. Flavour is very wood and barrel-driven, with a charred woody barrel character dominating, with medium roasted malt and very low residual sugar content. Woody, charred, roasted finish. Excellent.
