Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of light malt, fruity hops, peach, citrus. Flavor is light bitter, light malt, fruit, citrus. Medium body average carbonation, light bitter finish. 130922

Can from BrewDog & Friends. The aroma is soft, sweetish, candy, sweet melon, greengage, tangy tangerine, floury bread, sponge cake. The taste is firmly dry, bitterness which lingers throughout, green fruits, greengage, melon, plum, spicy, grassy, leafy hops, touch of rawness, sweet sponge cake, pithy, zesty, grapefruit and bitter orange with a drying finish. Average body and fine, prickly carbonation. A touch sweeter than I would like tbh. Ok overall.

Can from the Green Goddess, Blackheath. Nose is prunes, raisin, fruitcake, dark fruits. Taste is raisin, cola ,prunes, dark fruits, just a hint of coffee. Dry malty finish.

Can from Middle Farm, near Lewes. Dark brown to black with a large light tan head. Fake and syrupy up front. Roasted coffee beans, vanilla, wafer, toasted hazelnut. Thick, viscous; maybe almost too gloopy but the roastiness holds it together. After a poor start this finishes pretty well. Not sure it'd make me think of Kinder Bueno if it wasn't in the name though.

Draught keg at the Blue Boar as part of the 'From Sussex with Love' beer festival, July 2022. Reddish brown and a bit thin-looking, hazy with a ring of off-white head. Fleshy and spicy aroma. Lots of sweet cooking spice, some fig, some raisin. Sweet taste with clove and fig right at the forefront, with some hoppy bitterness toward the finish. Medium to full body with heavy carbonation. A good beer although it can't compete with the best of the Belgian darks.

Keg draught at the Rock nr Whitwick, Coalville as part of their 'From Sussex with Love' Festival, July 2022. Yellow and cloudy with a creamy off-white head and generous lacing. Lemon cream, white grapefruit and a bit of dishwater. Bittersweet taste with more citrus hop and some sweetness in the finish.
