Early American brewers adapted traditional European brewing techniques to the unique ingredients, climates, and tastes of the New World. At Telegraph Brewing Co., our beers are handcrafted in that same manner at our brewery in Santa Barbara, California. Making use of as many locally grown ingredients as we can, Telegraph's ales embody our philosophy that a local brewery should reflect the traditions of its region. Our goal is to produce uniquely American beer styles that are imbued with a spirit of invention and creativity, but always with a nod toward history.
In 2017 Utah-based Epic Brewing purchased Telegraph.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre GBBF Shindig 2016 - London. Day 1. Pours clear yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Tangy lemon in the nose, dried wheat. Light sweet flavour, drying, with more lemony tartness, some bitter hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and cleaning on the finish, with further tangy lemon, wheat flakes. Not bad. On tap. Pours with a resilient, tight, off-white head over a lightly hazed copper to amber hued body. Aromas are sweet, floral, kumquats, candied tangerine, apricot, nectarine with a light acidity. Flavors are mildly acidic and a bit funk. Malic and lactic. Light tobacco and musty notes. Sharp, dried apricot flavors (vibrantly dried fruit). Medium esters. A bit watery and thin. Lively bubbles, somewhat try. Light tannic notes at the finish. Peach schnapps. Lightly sour, but very juicy. Interesting.
