Bottle @ home. Opaque very hazy pale orange color, full sized bubbly soapy white head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is lightly malts, hops, oranges. Taste lightly malts, hops, orange and citrus hops and a decent bitter finish. Decent body and carbonation. Decent, but not up to the level of their black beers yet.

0.375 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before July 2017. Minimally hazy, reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, fruity and slightly resiny aroma of mango, orange jam and some pine. Slightly sweetish, already a bit bitter, very fruity, slightly resiny and a little herbal-grassy taste of mango, orange jam, tangerine, some pine, a touch of honey and slight hints of lemongrass, followed by a medium long, rather dry-bitter, resiny and slightly herbal-grassy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty!

Bottle from Drinks & Gifts, batch 6 BB 10-2022, 37.5 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of brown cookie and coffee roast, slight peat and bit bacony whisky. Roasty bitterness, licorice and coffee, peat makes it a bit salty. Chewy sweetness as well, slight dark fruit. Barrel is absolutely not overdone, which is the case too often imo. So, great balance, good complexity. Awesome stuff.

Bottle. Black pour, creamy brown head. Aroma of creamy chocolate, coffee, licorice and mocha. Taste has bitter cacao, coffee, licorice, tarr, booze and a bitter creamy finish. Solid example of the style.

375 ml bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. (Mostly) clear orange color. Sticky and somewhat frothy white head. Strong citrus aroma, with resin as well, sourish, light malts. Citrussy sourness (notably grapefruit) and some malty sweetness retronasal. Flavor is moderate bitter, with some citrussy sourness and light malts. Medium bodied. Finishes with herbal hops, not really very bitter. Lovely stuff.

Bottle from het Biermoment, batch 13 BB 5-12 (whatever that means, guess its about 3 months old), 37.5 cl sample. Almost clear golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma has citrussy hops, slight perfunmy malt and some tropical fruit and pine. Medium bitterness, slight piney, citrussy and a bit floral, bit honey sweetness or "weeig" malt. Good stuff, and they clearly are going to be best new brewer of the year, but they are not there yet to be honest. 8 or 9 out of 10, but I hope they can make that final step to perfection, as I think they are capable of doing that.

37.5cl Bottle, thanks Potje! Hazy orange/amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, hint of toast, liquorice root, tropical fruits. Flavour is medium sweet, light malty, citrus, grapefruit, mango, some orange, caramel, liquorice root, decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice.

Bottle shared at the March THT at Kwartje. Dark brown pour, very thin tan head. Notes of whiskey barrel, chocolate, coffee, wine barrel, some walnuts, light tobacco. Very nice!

Bottle shared at the March THT at Kwartje. Hazy caramel pour with a thin white head. Notes of citrus hops all over the place, some dank hops, funky hops, light resin, honey. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.
