Cask @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Clear golden with a thin head. Hoppy in its nose, with a soapy taste, possibly some strawberry too.

Keg @ Birmingham Beer Bash 2016. Pours murky orange, thin white head. Aroma is peculiar sour berries. Taste is rather tangy and sour with an odd sharp thorny fruit element. Not familiar with rowanberries, but not sure I’d search out for them after trying this.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2016. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is big malt vinegar. The flavour is moderate sour with a smooth malt, yeast, light tart citrus palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Stockport Beer Festival 2016. Deep pink coloured ale. Sour ale, although not overly so, but is still its dominant characteristic over what fruits can be found here.

Keg @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Hazed amber with a carbonation, but next to no head. It’s smoked in both aroma and taste, but more stated in the former, with the latter having much more of a spiciness about it - so the beer really does follow its name, especially as there is notable citrus in its aftertaste.
