Fles gedeelt door Inoven. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een grof wit schuim welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een houtige, fruitige wat whisky achtige geur. De smaak is houtig, gebrand, eiken, zoethout, fruitig en wat alcohol achtig.

Flesje van winterbierfestival VandeOirsprong gedeeld met Tomhendriksen. Robijnrood bier met matig schuim. Aroma is fruitig. Smaak van vanille, zoethout, rozijnen en karamel. Nasmaak is iets bitter en een beetje kleverig in de mond.

330ml bottle [presumably bottled 2012]. Almost opaque, dark chestnut colour with deep ruby shimmer and small, creamy, lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty, yeasty fruity, minimally herbal spicy aroma, notes of dark fruit, plum, raisin, fig, hints of caramel, dark honey, some fresher fruity aspects with a touch of raspberry, whiffs of aniseed and herbal liqueur. Taste is minimally sweet, caramel malty, minimally dry and papery (no real hints of oxidation but probably owing its age), yeasty fruity, notes of raisin, sultana, caramel, dark caramel, minimally bitter, herbal-grassy-spicy hints of aniseed, sage; well hidden alcohol. Surprisingly watery texture, kind of heavy water, a bit like diluted mercury, heavy but not viscous in a way, super-soft, smooth, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft to flat carbonation. Not overly complex, very harmonious, homogeneous, round - sound.
