Bottle at home in London - picked up from the "Drinkersโ Paradise". Pours perfectly clear, deep gold with an attractive white foam head that fades away - not dissimilar to oneโs hopes when they enter the Paradise. This beer smells pretty bad, like rotting grains, raw sugars, ripe berries, plum; come to think of it, this beer smells like kvass. Medium sweet flavor with lots ripe fruits, bready malts, grape, more berries, some brown sugar, caramel, fruitcake. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Doughy, sugary bread dominates the finish, with a whole bundle of ripe, rotting fruits joining in the fun. Lingering notes of rotten, mouldy grains, cheap bread, ripe orange. There are suggestions of a decent beer here at times, but mostly this stuff is fairly vile.

On tap at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell as Kings Heritage Brighton Best. Amber with a loose white head; malty aroma; rather thin with a sweet malty taste with some caramel; and a biscuity finish with some light hops. A servicable malt-led bitter.
