Can 330ml (Boxbeers, BB 12/2017)
Hazy orange colour, medium-sized cloudy white head and lace. Sticky gooseberry bush aroma, is it Mosaic? Medium-bodied. Fruity, gooseberry bush flavours. Soft, very typical new wave APA (I would even say IPA). Even a bit sweet finish.

Can 330ml (Boxbeers)
Clear deep golden colour, big cloudy white head and lace. Aroma is grassy, herbal, even a bit of candyish underlying notes. Light-bodied. Flavour is very similar to aroma: grassy, herbal with fruity sweetness. This is not modern tweak Kölsch but the imitation of traditional ones. Perharps a bit more fruitier. Ok.

Cask @ Salopian. Pours a hazy gold, small white head. Aroma is fairly herbal. Taste is herbal, malty, lightly bitter, faint hints of sour, no recognisable traits from the hops used. Neither here nor there. Not good.

25th Aug 2017. Gravity poured half-pint during the 8th Annual Beer Festival at The Bridge End Inn, Ruabon. Golden pour, white crown. Hop centric beer with both citrus and piney esters in the aroma, the flavour of the beer was also dictated by the same hops and their characteristics (whatever hops they used, Simcoe, plus?).

Can. Mr. Pickles, Sheffield. Fully opaque, amber gold. Fairly dense, lasting, lacing, off white head. Handsome. Nose has woody, earthy hop. Spent coffee grinds. Some summer berry fruits. Taste is sweet to start, turning earthy, coffee grind bitter. Medium to full body. Crisp carbonation. Earthy bitter finish. A chore, to be honest.
