St. Ives Brewery
Microbrewery
in Hayle,
Cornwall,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: St. Ives Brewery
Established in 2010
Recently we have consolidated a decade of experience and launched a new core range - we hope you enjoy them! We believe in 'The Art of Brewing'; heavily-hopped IPA's, modern classics and an incredible view from our tap room!
In 2015 we found our new home on Trenwith Burrows and set up our 10 brewers barrel plant along with gift shop and cafe above. With stunning views over St.Ives harbour and onwards to Godrevy Lighthouse, there could not be a more picturesque location to brew award winning beers.
In late 2022 the brewery moved to brand new premises in Hayle.

50cl Fles van Tesco Axminster. Goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Grassig, licht bloemig, hint van boter, licht moutig, strak en redelijk bitter, zacht mondgevoel. Lichte body. Prima.

Can from John's Off Licence, St Ives. Dark brown pour with a light tan head. Nose is cloves, cinnamon, cola - not getting much toffee. Taste is Christmas cake, cola, cinnamon, cloves, whisper of toffee. Spicy sweet finish.

330ml can via Beer52: BB 22nd April 2024. Drank at home on 28th May 2023. Weak tanned topping to a black bodied brew. Dates added apparently, didn't pick them up in the malty chocolate taste and aroma, didn't notice any hop action either. Not as 'lush' as I expected really, so a little underwhelmed by the whole thing.

Dark brown pour with a reddish tint, firm and lasting white/tan head. Malt, oats, smoke and faint hint of coke in the nose, taste adds some liquorice in the finish. Not bad, but a bit too smoky for my taste.

Can thanks to my brother. It pours a murky dirty blonde colour with a lasting fluffy white head. The aroma is quite fresh, green, prickly pine, green, dank, fragrant, floral, herbal, some green fruits, gooseberry and a twist of citrus . The taste is crisp, dry, some pleasing bitterness, green, weedy, dank, fresh pine, white grape, gooseberry, peppery spice, nip of alcohol and some bready malt base with a drying, green finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a pretty looking beer, but it is pretty nice overall.
