Bottled. A dark red-brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, caramel sauce, malt, and prunes, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Not an abbey triple. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Cask at the Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Clear dark amber beer. Tidy pale cream coloured suddy head. Smooth palate with mild carbonation. Rich dark toffee malt. Tangy dried fruits with some spice. A little lacto. Semi dry finish with a trace of smoke. Like a stronger version of their Winter Ale with spice more obvious. Good.
