Unexpectedly malt-heavy and full for 5.5% IPA, offering up a heavy load of caramel set against resinous hops laced with mild orange-citrus notes. Wet malt and pine dominate the middle, while the finish seems a tad off-kilter, with the bitterness growing somewhat medicinal in the face of all this malt sweetness. Still, the pint drinks easily enough, and the body's quite chunky for the modest ABV. Not bad.

22oz bottle pours a dark amber with some sticky, white head. Nose has honey, caramel, booze, pine. Flavor follows, piney, caramel, malt, orange, honey. Sticky finish. Boozy too.

Hardcore malt-bomb of a DIPA, loads of caramel and toasted grain offset by deep veins of orange, grapefruit, and pine. Finishes with a mild bitterness—not nearly as clingy or pronounced as you want—leading to a bready, citrus-tinged fade. Pours a deep orange-gold with a moderate white head and tons of lacing. Decent nose offers up grapefruit, wet malt and caramel. Mild hit of boozy warmth, but otherwise has a smooth, easy texture. Not bad, but could use a little oomph.

Tasty imperial stout, dark chocolate and molasses backed by ample graham cracker notes and a honey undertone. Never grows cloy, though, thanks to the java finish, roasty and bitter with a hint of pine-tinted hoppiness. Chocolate and graham are prominent on the nose, while the pour is a suitable brown-tinged black, lacking much head but giving up some lacing. Alcohol’s well-hidden, but the texture’s a tad thin. Good dessert beer.

Bright blood orange sweetness mixed with mild caramel and toasted grain, followed by a firm piney bitterness on the back end, floral and dank weed notes sitting on top of a healthy IBU-slathered fade. Lots of orange and pine on the nose, and the creamy texture invites another sip. Solid IPA.
