Bottle @Ulfborg. Black, no head. Cinnamon aroma, other spices... Flavour has less spice fortunately, sweetish. Dark sugar, roasted malt, some bitterness - and now the spice returns. Not a fan.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, cinnamon, wood and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Way too spicy. 111116

Almost an IPA, but brilliant nonetheless. Citric and herbal bitterness with a pot-n-marmalade nose. Bready, slightly sweet malts and a mean, lingering hop bite. Nice.

Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin off white to tan foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Mild thin messy lacing weaves around the glass.
The aroma starts with big sweet graham cracker crust. Slight raisin to balance. Subtle honey.
The flavor brings in the sweet cracker/crust/crumb (so Graham cracker real sweetness) with once again the sweet honey to add a little bit. Raisin seems to faint a little bit more. Mild sweet graham cracker sweetness in the aftertaste leading into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sessionable smooth sweet crisp feel about it. Low carbonation. Spectacular smoothness.
Overall, everything seems to flow properly, of course I would have again.

Green waxed 22oz bomber pours with a murky amber body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up prune and dates as well as malt and molasses blunted pine hops and some woodines with a dash of booziness at the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth malts, thin sweet prunes and then some booze. It quickly picks up notes of sweet vanilla, spicy wood and then more booze. This is nice as the beer and barrel notes create a pleasing balance. Nice sipper where the ABV is well in check.

Poured from a 12 oz can dated 06/28/2016. Aroma is very hop forward with lots of dank and pine resin notes. Lighter grapefruit, floral and grassy hop notes as well. Some light cracker and caramel malt notes with a faint alcohol notes. Pours a murky, copper orange with a very large, thick, white head that recedes into itself slowly. High lacing and no legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with medium light caramel, toasted bread and some cracker malt notes. High bitterness with a strong resin character. Lots of herbal and floral hop notes with some woody and pine notes as well. Light grapefruit and hints of alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a great IPA. The hop profile is really not nice and is super floral, woody and herbal with almost no fruit. Malt profile isn?t too bad and help supports the hop profile.
