Description
Since our birth in 2013, we’ve committed ourselves to producing the highest quality beers, and being at the forefront of brewing innovation and efficiency. Early in 2014 we were the very first UK-based craft brewery to can their full core range. Customers expect their beer to be fresh and flavourful and we believe that cans - with their protection from light and superior seal, combined with lower environmental impact - help us to get them the beer in the best possible condition!
In 2018 the brewery and brand was bought by Lion Brewery of Australia, who are owned by Kirin of Japan. Lion's global craft beer subsidiary is named Little World Beverages.
In 2022 Lion breweries have sold Fourpure to Odyssey Inns.

Tap at the brewery, 29/03/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white head that slowly dissipates to nothing. Nose is noble hops, bread dough, caramel, light biscuit notes. Taste comprises a good dose of noble hoppage, light mandarin, straw, bready malts, bitter orange twang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp clean closure. Solid pils.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear pale yellow, thin to no head. Aromas are grassy, light lemon. Taste had a metallic note I’m not keen on. Ok.

Keg at the brewery, 29/03/14. Clear golden with a well appointed off white covering that retains well. Nose is tarte apricot, orange pith, straw, light spice, bitter citric ring, toasty. Taste comprises bitter mandarin, hoppy pangs - lightly skunked NS shines through, orange pith, straw, hay, bitter apricot. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid hoppy saison, best beer I’ve had from Fourpure to date.

Bottle from The Sourced Market, St Pancras International, London, Wednesday 26th March 2014 Pours dark amber with an off/white head a touch chewy with some burnt toffee. Indeed there is some hoppiness but its quite malty, really quite malty. Soft mouthfeel, I didn’t mind it but it really wasn’t an IPA in my eyes. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Slightly hazy, golden-amber with a thin white head. Mouldy hoppy aroma with caramel malts - something is wrong here. Taste is bitter - far better than aroma. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Short finish with fruits and herbal notes. Hope, this was an off bottle.
