Draught @ Milk and Hops - Chelsea. Hazy rich yellow with large foamy white head, sharp citrus aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter juicy orange-mango taste with some pineapple, smooth body, long juicy finish. Nice juicy DIPA.

Hazy honey and light copper coloured body with a rather large, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of light hay, grass, a touch of herbs, some mild hop notes and a dose of curacao and bunches of coriander seed. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavours with a perfumey bite also showing some light hop bitterness, mellow sugary sweetness with some fruit and a bit of the dry yeastie bite on the very end. Aftertaste shows more of the dry and grassy flavours with the herbs and perfume, but little complexity and no sweetness at all, with a bit of funk and complex yeast strain, if nothing else. Overall, a nice and dry saison with some mellow sugars and much more of a flavour from the light hops and grassy/herbal qualities than anything else. Nice to sample as this is a good Saison, but nothing amazing nor should be gone too far out of the way to acquire. I sampled this 75 cL caged and corked bottle purchased earlier in the day at BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 01-October-2017 for US$10,49 sampled in my hotel room later in the day on 01-October-2017 here in Omaha, Nebraska.

16 oz. can. Appearance is like any other NEIPA these days, cloudy, foamy head. Aroma is melon, peach, mango, some pine. Flavor is a boat load of fruits; peach, apricot, melon rind with a honey malt base. Creamy texture over the palate. The bitterness was not noticed until it really warmed and opened up. Pine. Alcohol is completely hidden with the name of the beer making a lot of sense. Super easy to drink and massively enjoyable.

Weird how I love every aspect of this beer but the taste. Nice tart-funky aroma, and the pour’s absolutely gorgeous, coming out a slightly hazed gold with endless head and lacing. Hell, even the feel’s spot-on for a saison. Yet the taste never develops into much of anything; hints of funk and yeast, slight sour undertones, but all these notes stay in the background without anything on the front to grab your attention. Slight grassy saison and wheat elements, mild cereal grains--otherwise, it’s a stretch to say any of these flavors claim the forefront. More textural than anything. Eh.

Oxford tasting
Cloudy blond color. Estery, plastic-y, spicy, soapy, American, cloying, yeasty, dirty undrinkable mess.
