16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Hazy yellow pour with an ample fluffy white head. Bready aroma with notes of grapefruit peel. Taste is a juicy, thick, citrusy blend, orange, grapefruit, pineapple. Luscious feel, zesty finish.

Pint can, 7/5/23. New brewery! Brewery #2184, USA #1778, California #Gusher, but not too bad. Hazy amber, four finger tan head, average retention. Aroma of pine, melon, resin. Taste is melon, pine, resin, pale malt. A bit of a menthol note. Mild bitterness. Okay.

500mL bottle (~6 years old), pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out plenty of cinnamon, washed out rye barrels, and earthy notes. Flavour is quite unpleasant, with lots of earthy rye, roasted malt, light cinnamon, and washed out notes. This is way past its prime. Unpleasant at this point.

On tap at Abnormal, pours jet black with a small beige head. Aroma is full of marshmallow, vanilla, lactose and soft, lush bourbon barrels. Flavour is extremely rich, with a wonderful bourbon barrel presence, accentuated by marshmallow, vanilla and cocoa nibs — not noticing the pecans. Soft, barrel-y, and integrated. Lovely.

On tap at Abnormal, pours jet black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of bourbon barrels, coffee, Oreos, toasted almonds, and cocoa — damn decadent. Flavour is incredibly rich, with intense Oreos and general chocolatey greatness, accentuated by bourbon barrels and rounded out by lactose. Not sure I detect the almonds or marshmallow. Chocolatey, sweet and barrel finish. Lovely pastry.
