Bottle shared at chriso’s Easter 2015 tasting - London. Sourced from the brewery. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds some dark fruits, light coffee, faint cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, roasty, with light ash, cocoa, burnt earth, burnt toffee. Medium bodied with average carbonation and creamy texture. Nicely balanced finish with subtle creamy coffee, toasty bread and chocolate. Pretty solid and well rounded, although I was surprised that the coffee character wasn’t more pronounced.

750ml bottle pours a lightly hazy gold with some frothy, white head. Aroma is quite dank, a lot of chivey/garlicky notes, a little onion dip, grassy too, mild pine, some tropical fruit, straw. a little lurking guava sweetness. Flavor follows, very grassy, straw, lots of dank hop, some tangerine, some orange, mild honey, some turbinado sugar, tropical fruit. I was surprised at how tempered the bitterness levels were. For a nose with that much hops, the bitterness was extremely balanced. Scary drinkable.
