Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

750 enjoyed at fridge temp. Cloudy burnt orange appearance. Aroma is straight up coffee with a sweet sugar aroma like table sugar. Good mouthfeel, a lot of coffee like overwhelming. I honestly don’t taste much of the actual beer. Sweet middle and finish. Interesting if you’re looking for a coffee bomb high ABV barley-wine.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Mango and pineapple aromas. Soft and dry with caramel upfront turning to passionfruit and mango before the lasting lime and resin finish.

Shared by Brian bottled 03/03/2015, nice man thanks for such a fresh sample! Looks like hazy grapefruit juice with very thin head. Aroma is fruit, big tropical notes with light scallion and onions with a very mild grass, just damn lovely!

The flavor is just as bright and juicy. Mango, papaya with a great danky, onion/ scallion flavors. The garlic /onion/ scallion note reminds me of a few other Artisanal New England brews. The hops are only lightly bitter and is supported by a nice level of grain and pale malts. Love this brew as well as many others from this fine brewer.

The beer is a pale tan yellow color. The head is white and voluminous. Lots of lacing and whatnot. The aroma is full of fruity hop flavor. Big pineapple and tangerine. Lime, orange peel, mango. Light yeasty note. Maybe a little fresh pale malt character but it’s way in the background. Taste is hoppy with essentially no initial bitterness. The finish is yeasty and dry with lingering moderate bitterness. Very flavorful. Fresh and bright hoppiness. Easy to drink. Soft, full mouthfeel. Another tasty, tasty hoppy beer from Trillium.

Thanks, mikeyv35. This beer is simply wonderful. I loved Fort Point, and this version kicks things up a notch. The beer is cloudy and orange-ish yellow. The head is big and white. Tons of lacing and excellent retention. The aroma is full of delicious fruit. Big peach, pineapple, tangerine, grape, mango, guava, lime. Light pale malt character. The taste is chock full of hop flavor. Dry, yeasty finish. Moderate to medium bitterness in the finish. Big, fresh tropical fruit hop character. Gentle full mouthfeel. It’s fresh and soft and full of flavor. Absolutely wonderful stuff.
