Description
Trillium Brewing Company was founded by JC and Esther Tetreault, a young dumb couple in love, planning their wedding and dreaming about how they would spend their lives together. The desire to build a brewery was about more than just making beer, it was about creating a way of life and building a community with which to share experiences. A beer geek and botany nerd, JC chose the trillium flower to represent what we strive to bring to our beer and our lives: beauty, strength, simplicity, and balance. We operate a brewery and taproom in Canton, MA as well as a full service restaurant and brewery in the Fort Point neighborhood of Boston. We also operate seasonal pop-up beer gardens around the city of Boston under the Trillium Garden project.

Bottle shared thanks to kermis, the milestones are getting closer tasting. Slightly hazy light golden with creamy and bubble white head. I smell massive fruity hops from a meter away, lets dig in... Pineapple, mango, massive mariuana, dank weeds, fresh cut grass, spring flowers. Light sweet malts and sugars underneath, but totally overpowered by the massive hops. Medium sweet and light bitterness. Almost full bodied with mouth coating velvety feel. Very nice and balanced, lovely stuff. Amazing mouthfeel.

750ml bottle pours a murky gold with some frothy, white head. Nose has honey, tangerine, orange blossom, a little bubblegum, some light grass. Flavor is sweet with honey and malt, a little chewy, some bubblegum, lemon, tangerine, soap, straw, a little guava. Pretty much full bodied in the mouth and lightly sweet on the end.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is very hop forward with a lot of dank, resinous hop notes. Moderate tropical fruit with some grapefruit as well. Light wheat and hints of grain. Some more mango and melon and less dank as it warms up. Pours a hazy, pale orange with a medium large, thick, creamy, white heat that slowly recedes. High lacing with medium small legs. Flavor has a light sweetness with some light grain and wheat notes. Medium bitterness. Moderately strong hop notes of tropical fruit, melon and stone fruit. Lighter citrus and resin notes. Nice mango, guava and melon notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and silky with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice American wheat. Great hop notes in both the flavor and aroma. Fruity, but with a decent resinous dank note to the aroma. I think I prefer a drier, less chewy mouthfeel though.

Craft Clerkenwell. LKS 15K bash. Thanks to Leighton for another Trillium treat. Hazy orange - gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairy dry and crisp. Thin malts bring mild creamy sweetness. Hop spice bites and there is mild hop skunk. Tangerine, pine and lemon ensue. Finishes smooth and semi dry. Hop spice lingers on. Nice balance of hop attributes here.

Bottle thanks to Jeff. The bottling date was no where to be seen but we figured it out. If there was a date on it, I couldnโt find it. Pours a clear orange color with a medium white head. A big sweet malty nose, big coffee. Toast, oranges, rich coffee, a bit of pepper. Very sweet. Solid.

Bottle at Leightonโs 15K thanks to the man himself! The nose is fresh, fragrant, floral, daisy, soft orange, tangerine, honeysuckle and dried mango. The taste is crisp, bitter, big zesty citrus action, sherbet, minerals, pine needles, orange peel and grapefruit with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Aroma is particularly great. Nice one.
