Bottle from Beer Shop Hitchin. Persuaded by my brother to start my home built beer advent calendar tonight because apparently the 31st is the start of advent. Who knew? Anyway, this isn't part of the official calendar, but its a good place to start. Great colour and this is all about the rich malts. Maybe a bit too cold from the garage, I mean cellar, but as ever with this brewery its really good.

A splendid dark mild. One of Roger Protz's 300 beers to try before you die and well worthy of an entry in that book. Pint of draught in the Railway Tavern, Chelmsford.
