Description
Mighty Oak was founded by John Boyce in Brentwood in Essex in 1996. It moved to the town of Maldon in January 2001, and set up in the West Station Yard industrial area, once a major local industrial area with its own railway branch line to Witham.

The brewery makes mostly ale and exports these throughout Essex, London, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Kent.[1] Many of the brewery's products are available to buy privately in different size plastic bladders up to keg size.

Cask at the lower red lion St Albans. A clear mid golden coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is decent leafy citrus hop, straw, hedgerow,. Flavour is composed of rustic pale grains, hay, firm grassy hop bitterness, zippy cittus. Back of the throat bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, resinous, leafy, decent cask condition.

15/11/2018. Cask at the Fat Cat, Ipswich. Poured golden with a small white head. Aroma of malt, hops, straw. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body.

Cask at Fat Cat, Ipswich. Golden colour, thin white foam head leaving alittle lacing and pale malt aromantic. Taste is malt, biscuit with some caramel and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. OK

Cask. Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. 3.6%. Clear, straw gold. Swirl of white. Nose has sweet, bready grain. Leafy hop. Light, peppery spice. Taste is moderately sweet, with a fresh, leafy bitterness. Light body. Low carbonation. Clean bitterness to finish. Lovely golde, in perfect nick.

Cask at GBBF '18, day 2, 08/08/18. Clear rich amber to copper pour with a decent off white cap. Nose is biscuit malts, straw, dried fruits. Taste comprises stewed fruits, brown bread, toffee, biscuit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Cask at the GBBF 2018 day 2 08/08/2018. A clear deep .oramte coloured pour with a speckled off white head. Aroma is sweaty grassy hop. Strawberry. Flavour is composed of nutty twiggy, grassy, hop. Ok. Palate is grainy, lowish carbonation. Grassy, twig.,
