Description
First brewed in Summer 2008. Beers under the badge "Chideock Brewery", but coming from the same source were seen in May 2012. Brewery location North End Farm, Venn Lane, North Chideok. By 2014 the brewery had ceased brewing on its own equipment while seeking new premises. In the meantime it is believed that some beers are being brewed on an occasional basis at Sherfield Village brewery. In 2016 brewing recommenced at a new location in Devon. Brewing ceased again during 2020 with production moving back to Sherfield Village.

An excellent looking beer, but sadly let down by a flowery taste which leaves an unpleasant after taste, A strange one to be sure.

On tap at the Old Fountain. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Palate is smooth with very mild carbonation. A little smooth malt. Mild orange marmalade and grapefruit hops. Touch of ginger and a whisper of apple. Finishes smooth with chilli heat starting to develop. Quite and easy drinking beer despite the spice but the chilli does linger.

Cask at the Merchants Inn, Rugby - 16/05/12. Pale yellow in colour with a very thin white head that soon dissipated. A Lifeless looking beer! Does what it says on the tin - lemon aroma, not a lot else! Tastes of pale malt, a little grain, lemon dominates, a little herb background, a slightly artificial sweet taste akin to splenda . Drinkable I guess but not again thanks!
