Description
First brewed in Summer 2008. Beers under the badge "Chideock Brewery", but coming from the same source were seen in May 2012. Brewery location North End Farm, Venn Lane, North Chideok. By 2014 the brewery had ceased brewing on its own equipment while seeking new premises. In the meantime it is believed that some beers are being brewed on an occasional basis at Sherfield Village brewery. In 2016 brewing recommenced at a new location in Devon. Brewing ceased again during 2020 with production moving back to Sherfield Village.

500ml bottle. Pours dark gold with a thin head. Aroma is orange with a little ginger. Quite unasuming. Taste has chilli warmth to start and a hot chilli kick in the finish. Some juicy hops too, but over powered. One sided, nothing else to it, really.

Euston Tap. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is crisp but very dry. Taste is light citrus. Whisper of sulphur. Lots of dry vanilla. Finishes minerally dry. Hats off for trying something different but unfortunately the end result is a mess.

On gravity at the Volunteer, Bristol. Golden with a slight white head. Sweet mix of yeasty stone fruits, hay, floral hops and honey with a spicy edge and moderately bitter finish. Eccentric.

Bottle, picked up from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon consumed at home Sunday 21.10.12 Pours hazy orange/gold. I enjoy the Art Brew Hip Hop range but I’m not quite as struck on the others (this included) Interestingly I looked at my ratings the other day for Art Brew and I really hadn’t realised but it was very clear that the Hip Hop range (all of them) were my top rated Art Brew beers. This beer was too sweet, was a bit flat and whilst a little orangey, had little else going for it. There is a little bitterness but it just doesn’t do much for me at all. A6 A3 T5 P3 Ov11 2.8

Bottle, picked up from ’Jacks’ Westholme Stores, Goring-on-Thames, Oxon consumed at home Thursday 18.10.11 Pours very clear light gold with white head. There is a distinct hoppiness but its a little grassy with a messy confused fruity and also mineral flavour. Nice beer but a bit jumbled. Tiny bit of sulphour on nose. Quite dry, medium bitterness. Despite my rating looking less than positive, this is an enjoyable beer. A7 A5 T7 P4 Ov14 3.7

Gravity dispense at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough BF - 12/10/12. Listed @6.4% ABV. Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head that soon dissipates. Orange zest on the nose, hops, a little booze. Tastes of boozy orange, like Cointreau light! Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a bitter finish. Intersting and drinkable but a little one dimensional, a pint would have been too much! Unless you like boozy orange/Conitreau a lot !
