Description
First brewed in Summer 2008. Beers under the badge "Chideock Brewery", but coming from the same source were seen in May 2012. Brewery location North End Farm, Venn Lane, North Chideok. By 2014 the brewery had ceased brewing on its own equipment while seeking new premises. In the meantime it is believed that some beers are being brewed on an occasional basis at Sherfield Village brewery. In 2016 brewing recommenced at a new location in Devon. Brewing ceased again during 2020 with production moving back to Sherfield Village.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a clear light straw colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is dry malt and yeast leading to a medium to weak bitter flavour with some spice and pepper on the watery palate. The bitterness wasn’t pleasant. Didn’t really hit the mark.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a cloudy light amber with a round glass-hugging head. The aroma is rich dry dusty alcohol and malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, alcoholic, liqourice and with some hints of red berry fruit and malt in the finish. The ABV is high but the alcohol is well controlled.

Rake. Keg. Hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and soft. Smooth and light creamy malt with a nice caramel and toffee streak. Bitter hops, just a touch of dried fruits. Smooth finish with a strong bitter linger. Comes together well. Dunno about IPA - feels like an ’Imperial Bitter’. Nice work!
