Description
First brewed in Summer 2008. Beers under the badge "Chideock Brewery", but coming from the same source were seen in May 2012. Brewery location North End Farm, Venn Lane, North Chideok. By 2014 the brewery had ceased brewing on its own equipment while seeking new premises. In the meantime it is believed that some beers are being brewed on an occasional basis at Sherfield Village brewery. In 2016 brewing recommenced at a new location in Devon. Brewing ceased again during 2020 with production moving back to Sherfield Village.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy dark brown with a thin broken off-white head and a little lace. The aroma is malty, alcoholic, light medicinal. The flavour is medium bitter with an earthy medicinal, malt, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is rich veggie herb aspirin. The flavour is herb veggie with a watery dry neutral palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Four new world hops? Didn’t get the hoppiness at all.

Bree Louise. Cask. Hazy gold beer, residual white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Unusual beer! Wood sap and very mild spice. Light citrus underneath. Floralness joins the spice in the light finish. Curious beer, not unpleasant!
