Description
Started brewing in November 2005 using a 5BBL plant using the name The Great Orme Brewery Ltd, Welsh translation Bracdy Y Gogarth, and based at Y Bracdy, Nant-Y-Cywarch Farm, Glan Conwy, Colwyn Bay. At the beginning of 2019, the brewery rebranded and relocated to Mochdre where a 15BBL plant was used. Moved to Llandudno Junction in June 2025.

500ml bottle at 3.4%. Pours dark gold with a medium, bubbly head. Aroma is buttery biscuit and grass. Taste has sherbet, boiled sweets and straw.

500ml bottle at 4.8%. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is straw, lemon and apple touch of butter. Taste is sweet to start with straw, lemon and tropical fruit throughout.

500ml bottle at 5.4%. Pours very dark brown with a large frothy head. Aroma is roast coffee, beef and liquorice. Taste has fruity roast throughout with a little chocolate on the finish.

Can at Alpine Cafe, Betws. Hazy-opaque amber. Foamy translucent white head soon almost entirely disappears. Aroma is pithy, pulpy. Light sweet. Light-medium medium sweet. Slightly spur streak. Light bitter pithy edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Drinkable but unexciting.
