Description
Started brewing in November 2005 using a 5BBL plant using the name The Great Orme Brewery Ltd, Welsh translation Bracdy Y Gogarth, and based at Y Bracdy, Nant-Y-Cywarch Farm, Glan Conwy, Colwyn Bay. At the beginning of 2019, the brewery rebranded and relocated to Mochdre where a 15BBL plant was used. Moved to Llandudno Junction in June 2025.

Hand pulled half pint in the Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford on 1st August 2026. Pale golden body, clean and very clear, on top a white crust. Slightly sweet fruity taste, decent malt backbone.

Cask at The Royal, Barmouth. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of biscuit, caramel and citrus. Taste is cereal and caramel again. Light bitter fruity finish

Bottle: Poured a deep brown almost black with a hint of red at the edges, head was thick brown colored. Aroma is light smoke, roasted malts. Taste is rich malts, biscuit, light caramel and bitter chocolate.

500ml bottle at 3.4%.  Pours dark gold with a medium, bubbly head.  Aroma is buttery biscuit and grass.  Taste has sherbet, boiled sweets and straw.

500ml bottle at 4.8%. Pours gold with a medium head. Aroma is straw, lemon and apple touch of butter. Taste is sweet to start with straw, lemon and tropical fruit throughout.

500ml bottle at 5.4%. Pours very dark brown with a large frothy head. Aroma is roast coffee, beef and liquorice. Taste has fruity roast throughout with a little chocolate on the finish.

Can at Alpine Cafe, Betws. Hazy-opaque amber. Foamy translucent white head soon almost entirely disappears. Aroma is pithy, pulpy. Light sweet. Light-medium medium sweet. Slightly spur streak. Light bitter pithy edge. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Drinkable but unexciting.

Bottle at The Peppermill Bistro, Conwy. Aroma is sweet with a sour edge. Malty. Citrusy. Slightly metallic edge also. Clear amber. Foamy slighly white head. Sweet. Citrus. Malts. Slightly saccharine. Metallic edge. Develops a peppery tease. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Decent lager.

Bottle on line from Blas ar Fwyd, North Wales. Bottle states 4.8%. Pours clear pale gold with white foam. Fruity hop aroma. Taste: clean, light to moderate sweet, citrus, grass, mildly floral. Lightly dry finish. Light to medium body with soft carbonation
