Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma is resin with caramel. Med body or better. Flavor is burning resin with floral, earthy and citrus hop. It seems no hop was left unturned here. It’s NW hop burn, but not so harsh as most. It finishes fruity/resin hoppy with a lot of bitterness. Mouth smashing IPA!

Bottled:
Deep, hazy amber color. Thick head. Aroma is resiny pine, some tropical fruit and a little bit of marshmallows. Big and aggresive bitterness in this one! Also some notes of resin, pine and tropical fruit. Pretty good!

Välbalanserad IPA med smak av humle, malt, mango, ananas, tallbarr, citrus- och grapefrukt med toner av karamell. Frisk, lagom söt med en aning sträv grapebeska. Gott.

Bottle courtesy of pjdipes. 22oz bomber pours with a clear copper body supporting a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts with a dash of biscuit malts mixing with resiny pine hops and some citrus hard candy notes. The taste delivers rich deep chewy notes that are grapefruit and tangerine as well as resiny pine hop goodness with a decent enough base of sweet malts. The malts fade some into the finish leaving pleasing rich hoppiness lingering behind. Enjoyable IIPA.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 3/26/13

Aroma: The nose is sweet and a bit malty, some grapefruit, bread, earth, butter, and metallic notes
Appearance: Pours a cloudy burnt orange color with a thick froth of lasting beige head/heavy lace
Flavor: A balanced flavor with a light early bitterness, mid-sweetness, and more bitter on the finish
Palate: The body is medium, it has a creamy feel, a soft carbonation, mild stickiness, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this one had some good components, but it has some flaws to it as well (I caught some buttery and metallic notes that both felt like brewing flaws). It also isn't at all what I was expecting from a Winter Warmer (nutmeg, cinnamon, roast - not so much), but I'm perfectly fine with that. I guess I could have gone a bunch of directions with this score, but I settled here (deducting slightly from the overall for the flaws).
