Luvly blue bottle. The beer itself is Hazy deep golden amber in color with a tan head. Aroma of butterscotch and vanilla. Taste is odd herbal butterscotch. Interesting.

Poured from bottle thanks Airforcehops. Color is cola brown with a thin lacey head. First aroma is of cured meat and smoke. Taste is smooth with a hint of chocolate at the front followed by smoky meat. An interesting beer for sure. Not one I would reach for.

Poured from bottle thanks Airforcehops. Color is copper color with a thin white head. Aromas of yeast, a hint of fruit and spice. Taste is somewhat bitter with a lingering peppery aftertaste which did not make this a keeper.

12 oz. bottle out of a four pack, purchased at Bottles,Providence RI. Clear copper color with thin spotty head retention. Aroma has an earthy yeast character with some light fruit hints.
The yeast displays light fruit with a lingering earthy tones that give a very spicy pepper finish. The body and texture and on the thin side with a watery feel. The earthy spice with the thin body make this below average for me.

12 oz. bottle from a seasonal mix 12 pack purchased at Bottles, Providence, RI. Cloudy orange color with great retention in a snifter. Aroma is citrus rind of grapefruit and tangerines mixed with an herbalness. The flavor show light biscuit / bready malts in the main base with light pine and then finishing with the citrus rind. The rind bitterness come off a little harsh.

12 oz. bottle from a seasonal mix 12 pack purchased at Bottles, Providence, RI. Pitch black color with lasting head retention, great lace. Aroma is liquid cured meats, campfire ash, charred grain. Ok, that is what the style dictates. The flavor start with light sweet chocolate followed by the campfire and finishing with the sausage meat flavor. This is a well executed smoked brew. People who enjoy smoke malt should really enjoy this. Reminds me of Aecht Schlenkerla in the deep campfire malts. Well made.
