In RI for New years so thought it’d be nice to have a RI beer to celebrate not the greatest choice. pours a dirty rust unappealing brown. smells kinda nice and tastes of brown sugar, toffee, caramel, dried fruit and bread. too sweet and alcoholy, but finished the bottle in small sips as i played beer pong with bud light.

bottle thanks to beerbill, pours hazy caramel with a medium white head. Aroma is toasted malts and nuts with pine hop notes. Flavor is toasted malts, light caramel, some metallic notes and a nice cascade finish that lingers as it dries the mouth. Not bad.

Pours pale amber into a Sam glass. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing to coat surface. Sour, rotting fruit aromas. Sour caramel upfront turning to bitter sour strawberry seeds in the lasting finish. Yuck. Drain pour...

On tap at fire and ice in providence. Nice amber color taste is roast malt some caramel slight hops. Pretty standard amber from my home state.

Bottle at Chriso’ Blue Mountains of Virginia tasting. Coffee milk stout. Some sourness, and a tad lactic as you would expect from the milk. OK, some choc, touch of milk. Some hop. I really don’t like milk flavours.

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! (Early hours of the morning rating). Had this about 2.45am - coffee certainly needed but perhaps not in a stout! :) Opaque black stout. Slightly dry palate. Is indeed a little milky coffee but also has a little sourness and some smoke in the malt. Just a whisper of fruit coming through.

Thanks to kiefdog @Tampa Wkly Gathering @BT 22oz bottle-pours a dissipating tan head and cloudy brown color. Aroma is dark fruit-fig/raisin, secondary dark malt. Taste is dark fruit-fig/raisin, some oxidation, secondary dark malt.

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ chrisos Back In The UK Tasting.Clear dark brown color with a average to large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, coffee, berry, light burnt, citrus acidic. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light to moderate berry - fruity acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, milk sour. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours clear mahogany with thin copper edges and really no head at all. The aroma is sherry sweet sludgy malts, some prunes and plums. The taste is smooth and sweet with chewy hops, molasses, some prunes, dates, plums and a slender layer of sherry soy goodness. This is smooth sweet and d-lish.
