Draft at Brewdog Tower Hill. I've been wanting to try a beer from this brewery for a long time. I was fascinated by all the hype and always put off by the price of their cans online and from shops. Are they all mouth and no trousers? The answer: no. This is a good new world IPA with a fruity richness that is very much on trend, but I was expecting much more as a result of all the noise. Very well worth trying, but I don't need to seek out other beers from the brewery which is a follower and not a leader.

Keg at HL1, 17/08/18. Hazed orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is juicy citric peel, tangerine, soft brioche, light pine needle, grapefruit. Taste comprises orange pith, mango, juicy tropical fruits, light pine needle, cantaloupe melon, grassy bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light skunky edge to an otherwise juicy hop climax. Decent.

Can shared by Fergoos at Craft Islington. It pours cloudy - hazy gold with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, peach, apricot, tanginess and orange Fanta. The taste is bitter - sweet, green, grassy, apricot, peach, some rawness, warming alcohol, juicy fruit and a bit of tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit unrefined. Just all right overall.

Keg at Bar Under the Bridge, Sourhbank. Spicy and floral aroma. Opaque gold. Thick creamy white head. Light bitter. With some citrus amongst the hops. Light-mesium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry finish. Decent but less interesting than my prior ticks today.
