Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky amber colored body that supports a tan head. The modest aroma offers up caramel candy, a bit of apricot and prune like fruitiness. The taste delivers a pleasing mix of caramel candy and peanut that is coming across nicely here. To midway there’s a dash of apricot like fruity esters that don’t add or distract from the experience. Cool brew.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a crystal clear deep copper body that supports a thin near white head of foam. The aroma offers up a sweet smelling mix of sugary malts, cherry and deep dark grape like fruitiness. The taste is similar where sweet fruity notes like ripe red cherries and deep red colored grapes blend with sweet maltiness. As this gets to midway it picks up a mild fruit skin tannin like tartness that helps reign in the sweetness a bit. Nice sipper for a young-ish barleywine.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a nearly clear gold to copper body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up malts and honey and some earthy vegetables with muted saison spices in the background. The taste is similar where the palate is blanketed by various sweet notes that are malty and a soft lightly earthy sweetness that must be the sweet potato influence. Thin ribbons of saison like spices are just noticed to midway as the malts and sort of earthy sweetness takes on more of a nectar sweet like quality into the finish. I’m liking this but it is pretty far from what I like to think is a saison but that’s not stopping the enjoyment.

Pours with a clear copper body that supports a nice dirty white head leaving behind some sheet lacing. The aroma offers up some citrus, a bit of pine hops and then fresh tangerines mixed with malts and a slight candied fruit sensation. The taste delivers a pleasing hoppy punch that’s orange, Clementine, pine hops and then some sweeter malts blended with a touch of roasted malts and a biscuit malt sort of feel. Dang, this is good. It’s bitter with hops, has a nice malt base biased towards a bit of roasted malts and then a dash of citrus freshness. When I have a standard Bitter this is what I want it to taste like. Yum.
