Rating number 6816. Congrats dak on 9K!!

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear copper body that has thin gold hues and supports a nice looking dirty white head. The aroma offers up a mix of roasted malts, tart candy and then a lemon and lime sort of thing going on. The taste is tart and punchy and refreshing. I get a thin mix of grapes, cherries and red apples that have an edge of fruity tartness along with a bit of roasted malts. Riding above these flavors are notes of crisp lemon and lime and a tart candy sensation. This is an interesting brew where it provides a unique mix of flavor while achieving refreshment riding along a thin body. Yet another tasty summer offering that is working well here in the August heat.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits an amber to brown body that supports a nice looking light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth sweet malts that are synced up with soft sweet cherries, vanilla and molasses. The taste starts smooth supple and sweet with nectar sweetness, toffee and molasses nuanced by sweet ripe cherries and dark grapes. It then quickly gets into sweetened oak and vanilla notes. This has a very nice mix of flavors and is just a smooth slick delicious sipper.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a crystal clear gold body that supports a bright white head. The aroma offers up cheesy dirty feet and a slight to faint sour mash note. The taste is tart and a bit puckering at first. It smooths out some to midway with a thin sweet sense coupled to a soft white wine note and moldy blue cheese. This is pretty nice despite the offensive nose.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits an opaque gold body that has copper hues and supports a white head. The aroma offers up sweetness with some fruity esters moving into saison spicy notes and really no smoke sense. The taste delivers sweetness with sweet fruity esters like apples, pears, plums and pineapple and then those notes are cut by spicy saison yeastiness that dries out the experience a tad. Above those notes hovers a malt softened and smooth smokiness that’s pretty full but well integrated and balanced. I’d love to try a crisp fresh and snappy 5% version of this since the Imperial nature makes it too heavy for the style.

Growler with thanks to agentzigzag. Pours crystal clear amber, small off-white head, dissipates fairly quickly with some residual lacing. Aroma is tropical, dank, pine, passionfruit, mango. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Perhaps a bit harsh on the finish, but otherwise very nice.

Growler @ Steve’s house. Pours a bit hazy golden yellow appearance with a thin white head. Sea water, stinky feet, twangy aroma. Flavor is pretty tart, salty, and twangy. Some spiciness. Flavor is ok but the aroma is fucken nasty. Glad to try it.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. What a couple of nice guys the brewers here are! In the glass this is a cloudy kinda pinkish thin peach colored one and it has a big foamy head when it came out of the tap. Really annoying the sweetish nose here. Deep fruity lots of wheat sweetness going on. Some herbal nuances. It has a surprising thick almost oily feeling in the mouth and it's not to much bubbles left here. Sweetish flavors. Not as pleasant as the aroma really. A earthy or even chalky perhaps. Sweetness from yellow beets and wheat. It has a aftertaste that I'm having problems describing. Not spiced but not far off either. Interesting in almost every way this. 03.05.2014
