Picked up a 4-Pack from the Alchemist Cannery on Thursday. My GF loves Gluten Free beers and Saisons. Poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass.
A - Holy moly. This beer is GORGEOUS! SRM of 12. Deep bright and clear golden orange. This beer is BEAUTIFUL. I had to take a photo. No head on the pour.
S - Honeysuckle, flowers, fresh cut grass and a huge orange presence. Very zesty and covers up the sorghum smell well.
T - Oranges is what you get first and there’s almost a cough syrup taste. LIke cherry cough syrup. mellow finish of sorghum and lemons.
M - 50/50 carbonation on the mouth swish. Light body and semi-dry finish.
O - This is an okay beer. The only other gluten beer I’ve head is DFH Tweasonale and this is certainly better but not fantastic. Glad I don’t have allergies that keep me from drinking other beers.

Pours gold into a shaker. Caramel and sour pit fruit aromas. Sweet sorghum upfront turning to mandarin in the sour lasting finish.

Pours a solid black with a creamy tan head that shows moderate retention. Smells of chocolate and caramel mostly with a nondescript earthy spicy component. Hints of rye do come out a bit as she warms. Taste is pretty straight forward for a porter, lots of chocolate and caramel with a bit of earthy hops for balance. There is a long lingering spice component in the finish that is subtle, but it is there. Medium to thick body with a creamy smooth mouthfeel and a light to moderate level of carbonation. This is a nice porter great if you consider the sub 6 dollar price tag. The Rye is there, but very subtle and adds a bit of complexity but could be a little more present.

Bottle. Smoky chocolate malt aroma. Black with a foamy brown head. Chocolate, coffee, wood, toasty malt, with a very light bitter finish. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Wow! LOVE this stuff!

Pours black into a shaker. Mocha head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface leaving sheet lacing. Dark chocolate and rye aromas. Creamy with dark chocolate and espresso upfront turning to pumpernickel before the lasting charred resin finish.

Bottle. Sweet caramel malt and light hop aroma. Hazy amber with a large fluffy head. Caramel malt with a nice lingering grassy hops flavor. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Woody chocolate oatmeal malt aroma. Opaque black color with minimal head. Chocolate oatmeal malt and wood/ash flavor. Lightly bitter herbal hops finish. Damn good.

Bottle. Butter toffee malt and hay aroma. Hazy amber color with large tan head. Sweet toffee malt, hay, and lightly bitter herbal flavor. Nice.

Clear dark brown pour with an average sized off-white head. Light malt aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet but this brown ale has some hops in it too. Not badly done, but not for those who are looking for a sweet one. Good body, very drinkable.
