12 oz. bottle purchased @ BrewTopia. Nice deep ruby color with thin white head that did give spider web lace. Nose is plenty of fresh, wet hops. The taste is sweet malt and light pine hops with grapefruit and floral hop notes. Earthy and herbal as well. Mild, lingering bitterness long after the sip. Medium in body. The hop profile is borderline Double IPA. Hop Heads should really enjoy for a “standard” IPA classification.

Bottle shared with Charlie in Vineyard Haven, MA. Pours a faintly hazy gold with a weak, white foam head. Aroma is all rough candied sugar, some yeasty dough. Medium sweet flavor with lots of candi sugar, some grainy and doughy malts, some bitter straw, hints of plastic. Medium bodied with average to heavy carbonation. Sweet finish with still more candied, Belgian sugar and an awkward, abrasive bitterness. Subtle notes of licorice. The alcohol is a bit unpleasant. Not a great beer.

A hazed golden saison with a thin off white head. In aroma, light perfumey grain with fruit pulp, apple and pears, nice. In mouth, a nice chalky saison with herbal spices, cloves, not bad. Tasted at Drink Craft Beer Summerfest Fest, July 14 2012.

12 ounce bottle. loudy gold color. Small rocky white head. Light estery malt aroma, a bit sulphery with lemon. Tart salty malt flavor lacks any real fruit or wheat character. Rather boring.

Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. Mocha head pancakes as it recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet roasted nuts and toffee aromas. Thick with dark caramel, toffee and bittersweet chocolate upfront turning slightly hot in the lasting toasted bitter earth finish.

12 oz. bottle from Julio’s Liquors’. Great eye appeal in the tulip. Lightly cloudy gold with just the slightest thin, bubbly head that remained after a huge fizzle, die down. Delicious nose of orange zest and a hint of flower hops. I didn’t even know what sorghum is and had to Google it. My 1st gluten free brew. After finishing, I did notice a graininess flavor that was a bit different from anything I had in a beer. However, not a bad thing. Light lingering hops. This won a Gold Medal in the gluten free category for a reason. Light, refreshing and well worth a try if you like Saisons.

22oz bottle from Crossroads Beer and Wine, Burlington, MA. Cloudy amber with a ring of off-white head; sweet, orangey, citrus aroma; prickly in the mouth with more orange citrus flavours over a grainy body and with a immediate dry resinous bitterness that is maintained to the end; leaving a grapefruit finish. Rather disappointing overall.

Picked up a 4-Pack from the Alchemist Cannery on Thursday. My GF loves Gluten Free beers and Saisons. Poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass.
A - Holy moly. This beer is GORGEOUS! SRM of 12. Deep bright and clear golden orange. This beer is BEAUTIFUL. I had to take a photo. No head on the pour.
S - Honeysuckle, flowers, fresh cut grass and a huge orange presence. Very zesty and covers up the sorghum smell well.
T - Oranges is what you get first and there’s almost a cough syrup taste. LIke cherry cough syrup. mellow finish of sorghum and lemons.
M - 50/50 carbonation on the mouth swish. Light body and semi-dry finish.
O - This is an okay beer. The only other gluten beer I’ve head is DFH Tweasonale and this is certainly better but not fantastic. Glad I don’t have allergies that keep me from drinking other beers.
