Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours pale gold, fairly transparent, with practically no foam. Aroma is markedly citrus. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter, with a gentle sourness. Final is average. Overall, not what I expected, but OK.

Very good. I could almost be in Bamberg. Yet again...

On tap at Moor Beer Vaults, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings lit moderate roast, gentle cocoa, and some orange. Flavour is sturdy, with medium roast, oats, and a hint of cocoa. Nice maltiness to this without being very strong. Decent.

On tap at Beer Emporium, pours a clear light chestnut brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted bready malt, smoked notes, and a hint of toasted nuts. Flavour has ashy smoke, bready malt, and some toasted nuts. Finishes quite bitter, with a smoky, bready finish. Pleasant enough but simply cannot compete with, say, a Bamberg rauchbier. Okay.

On tap at Beer Emporium, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very subtle, with soft bready and even softer English floral hops. Flavour is very smooth but largely tasteless, with bready malt, barely any hops, and really not much else to speak of. It's amazing that a whole culture of beers evolved with the goal of them tasting smooth yet without any flavour depth whatsoever, and many beer geeks dig it! I mean, this is better than macro swill and goes down fine, but it's just not interesting.

On tap at Beer Emporium, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter floral hops, English malt, and some straw. Flavour is bitter, with floral hops, English bready malt, and a hint of pine cone. Not the most refined, finishing harshly bitter on the floral hops. It's alright.
