Cask at The Clachlan, London. Pours dark brown with a thick, creamy beige head. Aroma is a beauty, tons of rich, roasted mocha with pine and mild grapefruit poking through. Flavor is really fantastically well balanced. There is lots of dry, roasted malts, subtle cocoa and scorched earth, some tar, leaves and pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Touches of smoke to finish, more dry roasted malts, baking cocoa, bitterness of florals, pine and earth. Very solid beer.

Cask at The Pontefract Castle, London. Pours a clear, pale gold with a medium, white head. Glorious nose of fresh grass, grapefruit, straw and crackers. Flavor follows through well with a really meaty bitterness of ripe citrus and grass, along with sun-kissed malts and grain. Light to medium bodied with fine, delicate carbonation. Clean, dry and fresh finish, some lovely citrus, almost tangy, and lingering grass. Mild sugar balances it out. This is really superb stuff.

RBESG 2010, cask at Brasserie 4:20
Hazy light amber color; medium head (the sparkler). Aroma of white refined sugar, and light yeast, not the best expected one. Flavor is on the line as well, with dry toffee and similar white sugar feeling, and light green apples; correct bitterness. Drinkable, but out of target, and some fermentation excess.

Hazy amber color with red shades; small head. Good malty aroma, with a cheesy/yeasty head, and some fruits. Strong body, round, sweet caramel/toffee, fruity hops; but the yeast character quite clashes with the American IPA.
