A very good old ale. A good roasted taste almost like a stout. A nice hobby aftertaste.

On tap at the Magpie. Hazy amber beer, bubbly off white head. Light semi dry palate. Moderate carbonation. Light orangey hop which is little bitter and quite tangy. Finishes semi dry with medium bitterness. Solid if too dry.

0.75l bottle kindly provided by StoreMy and shared with The Tasting Crew + friends. This one pours a heavy clouded almost murky amber-brown body with a small bubbly and heavy lacing just off-white head. The aroma is malty and sweet, also light herbal and heather hints, but also lots of caramel and a nice citrus touch. Soft carbonation levels and a light sticky to slick mouthfeel. Also quite malt and caramel sweet in the flavors. Licorice and almost something that reminds me of leather. Ends bitter. Quite bitter actually - almost stingy. And fruity! Red berries in the finish. Yeah, this was quite good actually. Yey to moor of this!

Light amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of soap, floral and parfumy hops, sweet malt, grapefruit, and hints of alcohol. The hops dominates in the mouth with some grain, leather, biscuits (?). Hint of alcohol. Heavy round bitterness with long duration. Medium mouthful and slick. A not very typical english ale, but a decent powerful ale.

Cask at The Feathers (Nicholson’s pub), Broadway, London SW1. A dark golden coloured pour with a medium fluffy white head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes quite sweet, hoppy, fruity, slight bitterness. Quite pleasant and very easy to drink.

Bottle at y.n.w.a, Kolding. Pours clear Golden with a small bubbly White head. Lots of Citrus, grass and bread. Clean and freshly hopped. Smooth and easy.

Cask at The Crown, Oxford with Loz, Jan, Charlotte Sun 23.10.11 Pours amber with a slight haze. The head is off-white and a little filmy, it is straightforward. Late streaky bitterness really clinging. Its ok. . A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

660mL bottle, split 3 ways, pours dark brown / black with almost no head. Aroma of dark fruits (cherries), chocolate, caramel and brown sugar. Flavour of chocolate, brandied fruits and some roasted malt. Oily, silky palate. Decent.
