Thin beige head on an unclear amber coloured body. Zesty, bubble gum & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & soft with a tingle on the back. Zesty, citrus, stone fruit, bubble gum & caramel tastes with a bitter grapefruit finish. Very tasty beer

Can from Geers. Hazy dark orange-amber, stable, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of marmalade, apricot jam, orange peel, dark honey, peanut, biscuit, hard caramel, dust, rainwater, vague blue cheese. Taste has sweet apricot, orange & pear in a caramelly, marmalade-like malt body with a spoon of honey; bitter orange peel & herbs lead the way to the herbal hoppy finish that is slightly nutty; dried fruit & caramel are dominant but bitter citrus peel, grapefruit peel almost, lends sufficient bitterness; some warming liqueur alcohol in the back. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. A very surprising interpretation of the Barley Wine style.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A dark ruby red pour with a fast fading coffee coloured head; malty aroma with a touch of chocolate; taste of deeply roasted malts and cocoa; and a dry coffee finish with lasting bitterness from the roast. A nice Porter.
