Pint can from Half Time who appears to have a hand in the marketing of the beer. No small number of different hops went into this brew, piques my interest. ABGB tulip glass ready, I pour to see a fully hazy lemonade colored body completed by a slowly settling top of utterly white foam. The nose is full with oranges, other citrus, milk/cream and hops. Often the taste is a letdown after the smell. But not this time. There is juice, a bit of grapefruit with its bitterness, a fine combination of hops, mangoes, a hint of vanilla for some reason and just-cut hay. Creamy sensation and a nice mix of sweet and bitter. For a mostly non-fan of hazy IPAs, this goes against the current. Best imperial hazy IPA I can remember tasting in a long time.

I prefer a regular imperial stout, the pastry stouts can be just over the top. But that does not mean I will not taste them. Tonight I have Last Course to try, the can came to me from Half Time in New York. The tab is lifted and I pour. A quite dark, caramel brown liquid with a thin tan foam covering the top. I smell maple, grain and and a promise of sweetness. The taste does match up somewhat with the scent. There is wood, syrup, a grain taste that could be pie crust and a candy sweetness. The sensation is thinner that I anticipated and that is a setback. The pecan pie thing in total is escaping me. Perhaps my expectations were too great.

Not many black lagers in my history but I have generally liked them. This time I have a 16 oz can of Supra Black acquired from Half Time late last year. I have a new-to-me tall pilsner glass in place for the tasting and I proceed. I have to say the view is glorious in the proper glass. Super black with a complementary, decent-sized khaki head that is slow to settle. The nose is grain-heavy with a bit of chocolate. The drink is much the same, scorched grain, malt and a slight amount of semisweet chocolate. The finish has an all right hops bitterness. Nice way to break in the new glassware.

I had previous positive experience with the brewery and I can appreciate a decent barley wine. A squat 12 oz bottle from Total Wine that I am opening for a pour inside of my Buffalo Bayou snifter. The view is a dark caramel brown body with no head, none, but there is some carbonation showing up fortunately. Lift the glass and smell ripe dark fruit, grain and syrup. The drink is an improvement over everything else but I will say it is really sweet to start. Dates, baked bread, a bit of spice, honey, cane sugar and some background booze. I do not mind some sweetness but it is over the top this time, tough for anything more to develop.

A 16 oz can acquired from Half Time late last year bearing a stamp of what appears to be Oct 22, 2025. The label on the can indicates 8.0% abv, just saying. A globe glass ready, I make the pour. I see a hazy orange-gold liquid finished by a decent top of absolutely white foam. A sniff gives me plenty of tropical, some citrus along with that, grain and hops. And the drink backs up the nose. Orange peel, a bit of guava, some pineapple sweetness, hops, pine, paper and a small bitterness at the end. I have to say that I am enjoying this brew more than I anticipated. The style, NE or WC? I say it tilts towards being a hazy IPA but there's west coast to offset that. Interesting beer, pleasant surprise.

Nitrogen charged Three Philosophers. Okay. I like the regular carbonation version plenty enough. Bought in a 4 pack of 16 oz cans at a Ft. Worth Total Wine last year. Pour into a Chimay glass gives caramel colored body with a creamy head of very fine bubbled foam that settles quickly. The drink is likewise creamy at the beginning followed by lightish figs, cherries, malt, syrup and a bit of grain. Decent enough, I would buy again. But that is if the regular version is not available.

16 oz can which is good of course but I can say I really like the brewery’s name. Tulip glass ready, I pour. I see a hazy yellow-gold body followed by a quick settling head of icy white foam. I smell oranges, tropical fruit and some hops. The taste is sweet citrus, pineapple, crackers and a bit of orange rind, all wrapped by a small hoppy bitterness. Better than the average NE style IPA but unable to stand out.
