Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed gold. Slim white head. Nicely leggy. Plenty of ripe citrus. Has that cryo hop dustiness. A little oaty. Slightly vegetal overall. Taste is pretty sweet with ripe citrus bitterness. Drinks decent at the 6.5. Moderate bitterness to finish. Not bad.

Alright I’ll do it again. Thanks for disappearing into the ether. Long review short it stinks like a manky dishcloth and it popped off down the sink after 3 sips.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed pale straw colour. Good white froth stays the course. Loads of pineapple and peach. A little mineral. Quite wheaty. Taste has a fruity sweetness and a fair heft of mineraly bitterness. Drinks easy overall albeit a tad dry as it goes along. Dry and bitter finish.

Swing top job. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed slightly mucky gold. Good swede. Nose has quite flowery perfumed hop on top of ginger biscuit malts. Taste is pretty sweet overall and feels oddly thin and watery. Modest bitterness to finish. Not really digging this. Bit weird.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Fuck knows if this is the right beer. Definitely different label (see pic). Nothing else comes up though and it’s not a new beer because there’s a million check ins on UT. Anyway. Grassy herbal bit mineraly on top of yeasty bread. Light and clean. Good bitter finish.

750ml job. Chatsworth Farm Shop. Light haze on a coppery red. Very decent off white foam. Nose has spicy ginger biscuit malts. Touch of caramel. Marmalade hops. All present and correct although missus gets a cardboard thing. I don’t. Anyway. Taste is fairly sweet on the lips with a moderate hop bitterness. A tad dry too. Decent body overall and feels fresh and vibrant. Light spicy hop bitterness to finish. Nice. Missus couldn’t hack it.

Paper wrapped 750. Doddington Hall Farm Shop. Nose has grape skin and must. Nice sweet oak barrel character. Touch of lemon and lime. Taste has some vanilla sweetness up front. Nice juicy edge. Flicker of tartness. Creamy on the palate. Fruity grape led juicy finish.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Hazed yellow with a decent shiny white foam. Wheaty and smoky notes first. Distinctly herbal (that’ll be the bay, then). Some lemon rind. Taste has a modicum of sweetness but overall it’s quite bitter with lots of lemon peel and herb forward hop leaf. Nicely creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish tempered by some wheaty sweetness. Didn’t mind the bitterness here. Kind of a wheat beer / IPA hybrid thing.
