Rock solid, typical SN. Nothing showy here. Just nice balanced and lightly toothy roast, a little cocoa, scorched earth, nip of burnt tyres, sweet toasted malts. Looks great, the balance is excellent. No complaints.

8.4 oz can. Pours a clear yello9w color with a big sudsy white head that soon vanishes. The aroma is faint with grains and a bit of green weeds. The taste like the aroma is grains, something weedy and some spicy hops. The palate is medium. Finishes short and dry with some lingering hops. Overall: Nice but not that nice.

Draft pour at Stratford Garden. Poured a dark cola, almost pitch black color with a small ecru head. Wow. This is a straightforward stout, but it is really, really flavorful. Especially when it's just 'a beer'. No adjuncts, no barrel aging. Huge roast, chocolate malt! This is very, very good for being a completely straightforward beer.

Sample size at Churchkey. Poured an incredibly dark, almost black brown color with a small head. Aroma was sweet caramel, figgy. Herbal notes, with malt and dried fruit. Big and boozy. I like the idea of this, but hard to really do anything but sip it a few times given it's abv.

Bought locally.

Pours a clear straw yellow with over a finger of foam, retention is good, lacing is decent.

Smell is noble hop like aroma, caramel malt with some bread, light aromas overall.

Taste is light hop bitterness, light bread, pale malt, generally light overall. Again.

Light bodied, I would not bother drinking this again.

Perfectly acceptable pils, light and easy-drinking, offsetting a gentle pilsner malt sweetness and a light floral hop bitter finish with a touch of spicy noble hop character. Doesn’t reinvent the wheel (but apparently the can is a big deal).
