Thanks to Willblake for sending this bonus from PA! This forms a frothy white head above a clear yellow body. Fresh and lemony with a little sourness in the nose. The flavor was a pleasant combination of lemon with all aspects of sweet, tart and sour combining to acheive the tangy overall experience. Not my favorite style, but I enjoyed this and everyone should have a good Wit once in a while after a hot day.

Bottle. Dark amber beer with a thin beige head. Rich malt/brown sugar aroma to go with some fruity/earthy hops. Flavor is rich caramelized malt and some light plum and spice flavors. There’s just enough hops to keep it interesting.. Dry finish, hides alcohol well.

Bottle. Bronzish ber with a thin off-white head. Hoppy aroma (citrus), but not that strong. Clean, refreshing, malt balanced with hops. Nice flavor - caramel and good hop flavor (citrus, earthy) that causes some tingling. Big disapointment. I expected so much more from this. I’d say it’s no where near the quality of many west coast IPA’s. Barely any aroma (for an IPA) and not enough bitterness. I wanted/expected much more from this - even went a day out my my way just to get some bottle on the eat coast. And there are still months to go on the freshness dating. Overall - better than most brewpub IPA’s, but not the quality of most micro’s IPA’s. It’d be a good pale ale.

Bottle. Very pale golden colored beer with a good white head. Fruity/spicey hop aroma. Fruity and earthy hop flavor with good bitterness for a pils. Fresh tasting with just a bit of malt backing. Well balanced. Very good for quenching thirst, but keeps drawing you back to drink some more. Very well made.

Wallop enters the glass with a a big sticky head over a cloudy orange/gold body. Big floral aroma backed by a strong malt presence. The flavor is bitter followed by the malt in a nicely balanced way. The bitter finish is appropriate, not over powering. A brew for hop lovers for sure, but not just another hop juice. This one is very well done. On a par with Marin Eldridge White Knuckle. Thanks to CaptainCougar for this rare treat!

Beautiful deep chestnut brew iwth a decent off white head. Nice complex malty aroma. The flavor was slightly bitter but fell far short of what the aroma had set things up for. Smooth, somewhat dry finish, but average overall.

Sampled from a 12 oz bottle this beer poured an orange-caramel color with a small soapy tan head that faded quickly and left a touch of lacing. . The aroma was malty and sweet with a moderate toffee presence and touches of dark fruits and vegetal malts. . The flavor was sweet, tangy and sour with some vegetal malts, toffee, caramel and dark fruits. Med sweet malty toffee finish. Medium body and smooth. Solid.

Bottled, another DocLock gift. A very pleasing beer indeed. Pouring into a tall weizen glass brings up a big spongy head over a pale straw body, with a light haze. A big, big lemony taste, but not sour, and some light spiciness, add to a crisp, clean wheat taste. There a lovely fizziness like a foundain soda, and then a bit of a tart finish.

Bottle 11/23/03 Pours a hazy redish brown with a modest creamy off-white head that settles slowly to a nice thin ring, lacing down the glass on each sip. Aroma is full and complex. Fruity, with apple, orange and vanilla and a little spice like cloves maybe. Stronger hops that the other BWs I’ve had. I can’t find those nice aroma notes any more here. Still though, malt and caramel. Some citrus rind. Strong and heavy. Very nice rich feel, almost syrupy. I'm a bit dissapointed after all the hype and the 4.2 rating. I’ll be sure to give it another chance.

2004 bottle. Pours a dull banana yellow sort of color, highly cloudy with a firm foamy white head. Tons of banana, light lemon and a touch of honey are what I pick up on. There is a dry, dusty note of yeast as well. Light spicing is mixed in with the citrus. Flavor is terrific. Thick, chewy palate; very yeasty and full provides tons of bubble gum, banana esters and very balanced malt sweetness. Seems very authentic, I couldnt pick this out as American. Despite the chewy body, this stuff is quite drinkable, thanks in part to its balance. Maybe a touch to dry overall, but that sure beats to sweet when it comes to this style.
