Very pale body, lots of small bubbles and a substantial, frothy off-white head. Aroma is great, heavy in hops and grapefruit. Flavor is pretty nice although relatively straightforward. A slight acrid/phenol-type flavor that is very fleeting, but interferes with the blending of sweet and bitter flavors.

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, and the flavor besides the caramel also have some roasted notes, leading to a dry end. Boring.

This was my first time trying this particular beer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy yellow-orange color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sweet, yeasty and has a moderate citrus element. The mouthfeel is surprisingly thick. The flavor is yeasty and dry with noticeable wheat and a moderate citrus and banana element. The finish is dry. Other than the banana element this beer tastes more like a Belgian Wit than a German Hefeweizen.

Amber to black, muddy body. Fully, diminishing head. No lace. Nose of molasses, straw, flowers, liquor, ... Heavly sweet initial flavour. Moderately sweet long intense finish. Quite good balanced. Very fully bodied and a little bit astringent. Lively carbonation. A little bit to alcoholic and intense for me, but yeah, that’s what barley wines supposed to be, aren’t they?

Bottled. Pale golden colour, small white head. Vegetables and malts in aroma along with strong hints of peas. Vegetably malty flavour with strong hoppy finish. Lame, so lame. Bulk stuff! Either bad production that was at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, or then clearly overrated. 3 2 3 2 5
Draught@The White Horse, Parsons Green, London. Pale yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grass, freshly cut wood, some mild notes of earth as well as some floral hopping. Flavour is quite much the same. Rather wellbalanced and refreshing to drink.

Very pale yellow, not much head. Rubbery, grassy hoppy nose. Harsh, malty flavor. Some late hoppyness and a bit of sugar. Suprise to have such a bulk from craft brewery.

Light, clear copper body, thin-medium off-white head. Classic toasty, caramely aroma with metallic, earthy hops. The body is heavy on the caramel and brown sugar, the sweetness suggesting underfermentation. This would be tough to drink as a session beer. On the other hand, the nice punch of earthy, slightly metallic hops keeps the sweet biscuity notes in check. Not as layered as the best beers of the style, and just a touch too sweet, but above average.

A red beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries and honey, while the flavor is very sweet with notes of wood, cowberries, and honey as well as hints of alcohol.

This beer is a staple in my IPA collection and I am surprised that it has taken me this long to get around to rating it. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a bright bronze color with a small yellowish head. The aroma is very strong fruity hops. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The flavor is very strong grapefruity hops with a light sweet malty undertone that keeps this one from being completely one dimensional. The finish is rather floral. A very nice DIPA.
