Rich, sweet imperial stout. Enticing black pour even with a skimpy tan head. Strong aroma of malts, chocolate and alcohol with notes of vanilla and caramel. Medium to heavy body with silky mouthfeel. Flavors of sweet malts, chocolate, caramel with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Strong taste of alcohol. Excellent.

Original rating, as fresh: Amber with a short lived cream head. Sherry, figs, dates and lemon in the intense aroma. Wine-like flavour with plenty of hops, and some alcohol. Dry aftertaste with some oakwood and tobacco. 2004 bottle, opened Sept. 2007: The sherry aroma is more pronounced, and also some cherry. Fruity malt and alcohol now dominates the flavour with little hops - still has this red wine like note.

Amber in colour with a nice big white head. Disappears quickly though. Has a little fruity and hoppy aroma. Malty and a little sweet taste with the bitter hops coming in the end leaving a nice mouthfeel.

Dark amber colour. Nice head. Caramel and hop aroma. Thick and sticky mouthfeel. A nice hop bitterness almost - but just almost- covers the alkohol flavour.
