From a 22 oz bottle shared on Thanksgiving in the OB. Pours a cloudy brown with an off white head. Aroma of stone fruits. Flavors of figs and caramel. Yum.

12 oz. bottle dated 9/21/2015 into a pilsner glass A: A hard pour yields only 12" of beige foam that recedes rapidly to a collar and center bubbles. Clear ruby tea tinted brown color. S: Some light roast and dark fruit on the nose. T: Tart hops and roasty malt flavor. Neither cloyingly sweet nor burnt tasting. Not very complex or heavy. M: Smooth and somewhat creamy mouthfeel with light to medium body. Wet and medium to long coating finish. O: Tasty and drinkable, this is a very approachable dark lager. Always a bit expensive in my area though at 10.50/6. I like it and will continue to buy from time to time.

Alisa brought this one back for me from a trip to North Carolina. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was egg white, dust, lemon and cracker. The flavor was musty, pepper, coriander, yeast and sweet honey. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

12 oz bottle at The Olde Pink House in Savannah, Georgia. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is citrus hop, grain malt all a bit faint. The taste is the citrus hop, decent resin and cereal grain malt behind that. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and a mineral earth finish. Solid.
