Can/Fest. A- Spices, blueberry. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Spice, berry, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. O- This had something weird going on. Not sure what the spice is...probably legit twigs thrown in. Not great.

Can/Fest. A- Pecan, corn syrup, chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Cloying, sweet, sugary, chocolate. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, very sweet finish. O- This was sickingly sweet and cloying. Like corn syrup. The flavor was good but it's just a sticky sweet mess after more than an oz or so.

Very crisp amber and light copper coloured body with a nice, three to four centimetre tall off-white head that leaves a pretty lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of light nuts, metal and a relatively astringent scent with some alcohol and biscuity malt, but ending with some light caramelised sugars. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and malty flavours up front with some light nuts, caramel and earthier notes that show some herbal characteristics, a dose of biscuits, but ending with a spicey quality that shows some malts and drier flavours and a hint of caramel and toffee at the end. Aftertaste shows some grass and sweetness from pitted fruits like prunes and apricots with a caramelised sugar and toffee note at the end, but relatively balanced throughout. Overall, a nice and enjoyable beer with a good quality throughout, especially on the sweet side of things. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha (Papillion), Nebraska on 07-October-2019 for US$1,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Omaha, Nebraska on 09-October-2019.

Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a hazy bright yellow color with a large foamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and a touch musty with artificial peach and egg white. The flavor was sweet with artificial peach, a bit of graininess and perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body.

On tap at Crescent Moon, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is pretty artificial, with all sorts of funk pumpkin and a strange mintiness. Flavour is similar, with pumpkin, sweet dessert, and light roast. This doesn't taste as described. Strange dessert-like stout.

Deep coppered and bronze coloured body with a light brown glow and a relatively thick pure white head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of ridiculously fake smoke flavours like liquid smoke and pure smoked meat with a lot of mushrooms, funk and soy sauce - not very exciting and quite funky. Medium-bodied; Assertive funky malts with a lot of the smoked flavours, a touch of mushrooms and grass with a lot of meat, soy sauce and odd specialty grains as well that are very strong and aren't pleasant in the slightest bit. Aftertaste shows some funk, a lot of dry characteristics and a dash of alcohol and peat at the end, but the mushrooms and fake smoke flavours are by far the strongest in a bad way. Overall, a very bad beer with poor flavours, an odd complexity, nothing seemingly complementary toward the style and a funky, nasty smoke flavour that doesn't belong here. I'm surprised this is rated as highly as it is - it is pretty bad. I sampled this stubby, twelve ounce bottle purchased from BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 27-June-2018 for US$1,67 sampled in my hotel room a few hours later on 27-June-2018.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/2018. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, lactose, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light roast/char, herbal/spicy hop bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of juicy raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roast coffee, caramel, vanilla, cream, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/char, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance and fruit tartness balance; with zero cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness and fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/chalky/tangy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7.6%. Overall this is an excellent fruited milk stout. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, dark/black/roast/bready malts, coffee, vanilla, lactose, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/tart/drying finish. Very rich and complex for the ABV, and very well balanced between all flavors. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
