12oz bottle. Hazy light orange-tan body. Pronounced unappetizing canned peach aroma. Medium to light bodied. Tastes like an insipid, poorly brewed Blonde with neutered, forced peach tones. Really not that good.

Draft at Iowa Taproom, De Monies. 3-16-2016,from notes. Raven feather black color, no head when it arrived at the table. The aroma is bitter chocolate, some grain and chocolate notes. The flavor is bitter chocolate, weak roast and a bit of sugar. Nice dry finish with a somewhat smooth mouthfeel. This breweries standard stout offering. Really weak in the body category. Not bad just very ordinary.

Bottle. A- Peach, gummies, wheat. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Peaches, gummies, wheat. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly off balanced finish. O- Kind of like peachie-o candies but a bit more artificial. Like a peach gummy. The peach was there and it was soft but too much fake taste going on. Could have been a lot better.

I liked this a lot more than I expected. Brown color, initially a head that quickly fades to nothing. Aroma has sweet wheat and banana. Sweet beer, more banana and wheat flavor, lightly roasted, alcohol is hidden but there is a mineral quality and it seems very close to a German example.

Draft/Fest. A- Malty, cocoa. A- Black color, dark liquid, tan head. T- Subtle berry, cocoa, malty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Judging by the name I hoped for some raspberry, coffee, and chocolate. Well, I got a tinge of raspberry, no coffee, and a hint of cocoa. An alright beer but don’t expect it to taste like the name.

Draft/Fest. A- Cherry, oak, whiskey. A- Black color, black liquid, white head. T- Chocolate, cherry, subtle whisky. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- JD did some work with this beer and make it pretty tasty. I had the Jack Daniels aged barleywine and enjoyed that, so this was a treat. Good stuff.

Bottle. A- Candy corn, caramel, marshmallow, cocoa. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Marshmallow, cocoa, caramel, slightly sweet. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- What an odd beer. I figured it would be loaded with pumpkin pie spice and have a dry malty base. Nope. Smells like liquid marshmallow peeps and candy corn. A legit Halloween beer. Some caramel too. Tastes about like it smells. Odd, but really good actually.

Bottle. A- Malty, subtle toffee. A- Dark brown color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Iron, watery, malty, subtle bread. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- To make a short story long, a Dunkler Bock was one of my last styles to try. Searched for ever and everywhere to find one. Finally came across this a few days after I finally found a Dunker Bock (Anchor Bock to be exact). I loved the Anchor and was excited to try my second Dunkler Bock now. Well, this sucked. I expected it to have a fair amount of chocolate in it with some other nice notes but not so. It was very malty. Lots of blood/iron taste to it and very boring. A bland beer.

Bottle. A- Corn, slightly sweet, subtle lemon. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Sweet corn, grains, subtle lemon. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- This one was pretty crisp and refreshing. A bit of hoppiness to it and a decent flavor. Not totally bland and boring.
