Description
Our beer is brewed across two sites. The first is our original brewery at the Old Flax Store, this is where we began our journey in 2014, and is home to our LDS tap room. We expanded into our second much larger brewery, Sydenham Road, in April 2017. Between both sites we can brew up to 18 beers at a time.
The Old Flax Store is a Grade II listed building located in Holbeck, the spiritual heart of the industrial revolution. In 2014 we turned this derelict mill into a brewery, tap room and events space. This building is home to our first brewery, which takes up the ground floor of the building. Our second brewing site is also located in Holbeck, half a mile away at Sydenham Road, where 8 x 100HL conical FVs enable our total capacity at this site to reach 24,000HL.

Can from Asda, High Wycombe. Black with ruby-brown hints, a mild fizz, and beige head that quickly fades. A sweetish start with brown sugar and chocolate. Blackcurrant comes through in the roasty, mildly bitter finish. Decently rich mouthfeel. A hint of acridity in the aftertaste, but otherwise very enjoyable albeit simple. Nice to have an Impy stout that's not stuffed full of flavourings and adjuncts!

440ml can. Murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma of guava, mango, peach, herbal. Taste is sweet and juicy tropical fruits, peach, guava, mango, some light dank herbal notes, Nelson getting a bit lost in the mix. Medium bodied.
A brilliant DIPA, best I've had from NM in a long long time.

My Patron Saint Project Beer#14, today celebrating Saint Medard, the Patron Saint Of Meteorologists through a Patrons Project brew. This beer is raining down my palate with relative ease given its strength, which isn't overly apparent in taste. It has a good body obviously. Low level citrus can't produce a bitterness, but some flavour can be found, although nothing significant. It feels like a mild breadiness is on the verge of breaking through.

My Patron Saint Project Beer#15, today celebrating Saint Brendan, the Patron Saint Of Navigators through a Patrons Project brew. I'm navigating this strong but dominant citrus brew at Northern Monk. Although the taste is there, there's no citric bitterness about this one, subdued by the alcohol content, without this really impacting beyond its full body. It's flavoursome enough I guess.

Stunned to find a BIPA in Saino's. WTF! Pours deep brown towards black with dissipating beige/tan foam. Aroma: toasty malt, mild coffee, charcoal, some grass. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate+ bitter. The taste follows. Caramel, berries. Medium body with low-ish carbonation. Mildly dry finish.

Can from Asda. Black body with a tan head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of Marmite, dried berries and rust. Flavour of dark chocolate and rust. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. This is fine but lacking in the complexity and depth I’d expect of this style and ABV.
