Northern Monk Brew Co. owns 1 brewery:
Description
Our beer is brewed across two sites. The first is our original brewery at the Old Flax Store, this is where we began our journey in 2014, and is home to our LDS tap room. We expanded into our second much larger brewery, Sydenham Road, in April 2017. Between both sites we can brew up to 18 beers at a time.

The Old Flax Store is a Grade II listed building located in Holbeck, the spiritual heart of the industrial revolution. In 2014 we turned this derelict mill into a brewery, tap room and events space. This building is home to our first brewery, which takes up the ground floor of the building. Our second brewing site is also located in Holbeck, half a mile away at Sydenham Road, where 8 x 100HL conical FVs enable our total capacity at this site to reach 24,000HL.

Can at home and just lovely. A beautiful floral and fruity nose, beautifully balanced hops and a luscious mouthfeel. There's a reason I love this brewery.

440ml can from House of Trembling Madness. A hazy golden/orange/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, orange, grapefruit, pine tropical fruit action. Really drinkable stuff, liked this one a lot.

We walked out of the hotel in the Paddington area of the West End and located a decently different pub close by. I ordered a pint but the bartender said she could only offer half that much. Too potent. The pour was a hazy, milky light orange with a thin skim of absolutely white foam. I smelled plenty tropical fruit with just a hint of citrus. Interesting taste, there was grapefruit, papaya, malt, a nice touch of hops and cereal. A fair amount of sweetness and some bitterness. Not bad. I contemplated getting another half pint but thought I might get turned down.

Handpull cask at the Royal Oak, Halifax. Dark brown and translucent with a fairly tight khaki head. Light aroma of roast malt, some coffee. Sweet taste with creamy chocolate, coffee and and an almost umami-like Marmite twist. Body is light with soft carbonation. It's not bad, and has an intriguing complexity to it.

Cloudy yellow with a tall white head. Citrus forward with wheat, banana, clove, coriander, and a touch of sweet fruits. Medium bodied. Finish has a nice spicy snap. It really leans into the tropical citrus aspect. A nice beer.

Northern Monk Tins & Football Night In, Beer#3 of 3. A black coloured brew to go with the penalties for a Bertha in the next round! This is dense stuff, plenty of strength, which is notable in aroma and taste, has a sticky-sweetness in texture, but some caramels gets through. It's probably its aftertaste where its taste gets best. Hints of chocolate and honeycomb.

Northern Monk Tins & Football Night In, Beer#2 of 3. A clear golden brew this time with a bit of Italy versus Northern Ireland during the sipping of this quite bittered piney effort, giving it an almost floral feel. There's lots of body in this one given its strength, although not really boozy.

Northern Monk Tins & Football Night In, Beer#1 of 3. Starting with the New England one for watching Wales against Bosnia, which is a pale hazy brew. It has a mix of citrus tropical fruit and pine, but the latter of these is clearly dominant, a little creamy, and flavoursome. Stated in both aroma and taste and gets a good score whilst in the football there's no score as yet.
